Campfire wood orders will have some but not all of the following wood species: buckeye, maple, elm, oak, aspen, cherry, sycamore, black walnut, and/or ash. A 1/3rd cord equals a stack of mixed hard and softwood 48 inches x 36 inches x 43 inches. The wood is cut in lengths of approximately 18-20 inches. Some more, some less. Campfire wood is split into smaller diameters to provide more options to the size and purpose of your fire.

Wood sales in Ohio fall under Ohio Administrative Code 901:6-7-03 (C)
Here are some firewood related excerpts:
(b) "Cord." The amount of wood that is contained in a space of 128 cubic feet, when the wood is ranked and well stowed. For the purpose of this rule, "ranked and well stowed" shall be construed to mean that pieces of wood are placed in a line or row, with individual pieces touching and parallel to each other, and stacked in a compact manner.
(3) Quantity: Wood of any type used as fuel may be advertised, offered for sale, and sold by measure, weight, and count, insofar as the wood advertised, offered for sale, and sold by measure shall use the term "cord" and fractional parts of a cord or the cubic meter; except that: (packaged or sold by weight)
(4) Prohibition of terms: The terms "face cord," "rack," "pile," "rick," "truckload," or terms of similar import shall not be used when advertising, offering for sale, or selling wood for use as fuel.
Fall firewood sales to heat your home:
Our home heating firewood is currently sold in cords and contains some but not all types of the following: Oak, Hickory, Black Walnut, Sugar Maple and Red Elm (limited). A cord equals a stack of mixed hardwood 4 feet x 4 feet x 8 feet. The wood is cut in lengths of approximately 18 or 24 inches only. Cords cut in 18 inches size requires a 54 inch row x 43.7 inch x 8 feet. Home heating cords are split in larger pieces. Ohio requires sales tax on the sell of wood. Athens County sales tax is 7.25 % effective April 1, 2021. No sales tax is charged on delivery fees.

Cut in various sizes of approximately 18"-24" on average. Seasoned and split in smaller diameters for an evening or weekend fire. Customers have noted they get a lot more wood here than buying bundles at gas stations! Compare and save $$. Deliveries are usually available within a week.

Cords are available for order after August 1, 2023. We are offering full cords of mixed hardwoods containing Oak, Hickory, Ash, Black Walnut, Cherry and Sugar Maple. Orders of Cords of only 18 or 24 inches are now being accepted. Plan ahead, we get busy later in the year.
